About "Escape Me"

"Escape Me" is an angsty, breakup, build song with a western vibe. It sits somewhere between alternative, indie pop, and singer-songwriter genres. Melanie Penelope played all of the instruments (most live) - guitar, steel lap guitar, bass, snare, keys - and produced the track, except for the big percussion in the build, which was thanks to her savvy co-producer/mixing engineer Joel of Misfit Music NC. No autotune was used.
