About "Happy Birthday"

"Happy Birthday" is an upbeat piano breakup song. It's girly, self aware, melancholic, and poppy. The song is fairly raw with real keys and no vocal tuning, underscored by kazoo/party horn sound bites.

 

Melanie Penelope wrote, sang, played, recorded, produced, and mixed the track. E1 Duplication & Mastering did the master. Penelope also made the lyric video and visualizer. And she clicked the wrong button on her distributor, so the song coincidentally went live on Tuesday June 25th, her actual birthday! 🎂🎈
